The Korachian Factor
Lit. When one has a good idea, tries to impress it and forc it on to others.
Sometimes an idea is great. Some times what your feeling is great. But one need to ask is it practical and can one afford it. How much should I push to make it happen. Am I maintaining my respect and behavior in proposing it?
Korach was this guy who had great ideas, but pushed it incorrectly and disrespectfully against Moshe and the Jewish people.
In turn making the idea a product of the Korachian factor – out of place & destructive.
An idea is 25% of something, being able to execute it and understand if it indeed it has ground practically in society and in the situation at hand and more so in Torah is the ultimate question – is the other 75%.
Not every good idea is executable. And not every bad idea is really bad. An idea needs to be weighed for it’s pros and cons and perhaps on various kinds of scales before it can be deemed bad or good. Ultimately G-d is the Judge. May we merit G-d’s light and guidance in our decision making process.
